Anyway, I only had 4 hours to spend at MiniComi and both Laika Cosplay & Nyurt Cosplay were attending so we did the obvious thing when we met up. I plan on getting better/more pictures when we meet again around AR in august 🙂

Starting off the convention season and summer in general was the return of Anime Evolution. Since I got into photography after AE took a hiatus, this was my first time attending. To be honest, I was disappointed with the low attendance over all three days and if it hadn’t been for the fact that I had friends roaming around, I may have given up and left early 
Maybe next year will be better…
Other than that, great job to all the cosplayers that were around and that I managed to get a picture of. All of you were fantastic 🙂 Instructions on how you can get copies of your pictures will be added after I post everything I have from all three days.
I’m not very happy with the pictures from the first day…

Project Epilogue – Day 604: The Final Day of Cos & Effect

As quickly as convention week started, it is already coming to an end. I basically spent the final day trying to get as many different pictures as I could 🙂
Over all, C&E wasn’t as good this year because of the construction that was going on right near the SUB. I did have a nice time meeting some new people though and I really believe that my pictures turned out far better than last year! So all in all it was still a fun event and I can’t wait until next year!
Who knows, maybe I will be able to get a media pass 🙂
And at the end of all of this my sushi dinner tasted so awesome :’)

Project Epilogue – Day 603: Day Two of Cos & Effect

I started day two of C&E with the lolita fashion show; I had actually started of C&E 2011 with the very same event! This years fashion show had improved a lot as well and it had featured three local designers! Definitely worth going to 🙂
After that (and a small photoshoot session) I just went around getting pictures and talking to friends, so it was a pretty straight forward day. This day also had the largest variety of people I got pictures of.
Not much else to say other than on to the final day!

Project Epilogue – Day 602: Day One of Cos & Effect

The convention weekend didn’t end at Anime Revolution this year. Continuing on to its second year, Cos & Effect happened at UBC like last; the biggest difference was that they added on an extra half day to the event and the construction going on the best gathering spot near the SUB. Although there wasn’t much going on since a lot of people weren’t bothering with such a short day.
Because it was such an uneventful day, I had two photoshoots instead! You can find the first one in the main C&E album (pictures 1 & 2 in set) and I will be posting the second set in a different album later on (pictures 3 & 4).
On to Day two and the main events!
