Project Epilogue – Day 624: The Aviation Pin-Up Photoshoot
September 15th – Day 259 of 2012
*Before I get on to talking about this day, I wanted to mention the event I went too on September 6th (Day 615/Day 250 of 2012).
I went to an event called Fashion’s Night Out Vancouver, which was being hosted at the CBC studio downtown; it was a fashion show basically. Although I was taking pictures, I really didn’t like how they turned out because my camera is incapable of focusing in such a dark place Anyway, a lot of the clothing designs were really good and the event went fairly well but there are still many ways it could be improved. And I had a chance to meet a couple of people from a local website known as Assignment Fashion. You can see their articles here: www.assignmentfashion.com
Back to the day of the picture*
About one year ago, I missed a chance to attend a pin-up shoot that was planned by Metro Vancouver Photography Workshops. Thankfully enough they hosted it again this year!
This photoshoot took place at the Canadian Museum of Aviation down in Langley. Over all everything went really well, the models were great and I met some new people (and saw someone who I hadn’t seen for a long time as well). Sure it did feel a bit rushed to me and I did miss a couple of styles that I really wanted to shoot but I still got some really nice pictures!
I definitely can’t wait until they do it again 🙂
